Welcome to our new Chair – Giovanni Nisato

We are delighted to welcome our new Chair, Giovanni Nisato. Giovanni is passionate about health, sustainability, and human-centric innovation. He holds a PhD in physics and gathered 20 years of international experience working at NIST (US), Philips Research (NL), CSEM (CH) leading highly innovative R&D projects and consortia. He is also one of the co-founders of Health Hacking Lab, a non-profit for patients, caregivers, and innovators to co-create solutions that address everyday health challenges. Giovanni speaks Italian, French, English, Dutch and German. He is based in Basel, Switzerland. As hobby, Giovanni sings in an a capella choir, the Basel Chamber Voices.

Giovanni first joined our charity as a Trustee in a volunteering capacity, in June 2020 together with 4 other new Trustees. As of January 2021, he has become the Chair of our Network. “I am optimistic that 2021 will bring new opportunities to our communities despite the challenges ahead (e.g. COVID-19). It’s humbling to step in as trustee and new chair of FH Europe, especially at this point in time. l personally look forward to working with all you and advancing our cause together, with increased collaboration and collective impact. This will be a team effort with the FH Europe Trustees and of course with our highly engaged and effective Chief Executive, Magdalena Daccord.”

The Board today consists of 6 Trustee, John Reeve – Treasurer, Dr Sam Gidding & Dr Marius Geantă – Co-Chairs of the newly created Scientific and Public Health Advisory Group, Dorota Zgódka and Jo Taylor – Trustees, and Giovani Nisato, as Chair.
